The customer’s challenge
SpacePharma wants to operate a microfluidic laboratory in a CubeSat environment. The experiments need to operate fully automatically and results must be recorded and downloaded to Earth. And all should fit in a volume of 100x100x200 mm.
Sioux's contribution
Sioux developed the concept for the microfluidic laboratory. The realized systems contain an automatic liquid handling system and an integrated digital microscope.
Result
The first CubeSat system was launched in 2015. It contains a set of 4 experiments for pharmaceutical applications.
