Abhijnan has been working at Sioux since 2024. He studied physics in India and later worked as a researcher in Nijmegen. He joined Sioux as a System Tester, working on semiconductor die bonding systems, and later progressed to the role of NPI Engineer. This gave him the opportunity to take on more engineering responsibility and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team across the production process.

As an NPI (New Product Introduction) Engineer, Abhijnan helps bring a customer's concept into production by creating a reliable and repeatable process. When a machine is built for the first time, the design does not always work exactly as expected in practice.

As part of the NPI team, Abhijnan identifies potential risks, determines which tests are needed, and helps define the most efficient way to build the machine. The goal is to understand every step, improve the process, and ensure the machine can be built consistently and efficiently in the future.

Different perspectives, better solutions

One of the things Abhijnan likes most about his job is working with people from different backgrounds and disciplines.

Abhijnan: ‘During my research career, I often worked alone. I wanted to work in a place where I could collaborate with many people. Now I work with suppliers, customers, engineers, designers, and production colleagues. I talk with different people every day and learn from their perspectives. By sharing ideas and looking at a problem together, we can find the best solution.’

One high-tech family

Abhijnan describes Sioux as a friendly and open organization. ‘Job titles don’t create barriers when you need help or want to share an idea. You can easily approach an engineer, a team lead, or a project manager.’

‘Sioux feels like a close-knit high-tech family with big opportunities. People are approachable, and you can have lunch or grab a coffee with anyone. Everyone is welcoming, supportive, and ready to help.’

abhijnan's Top 3 reasons for choosing Sioux:
  • Collaborating with different people, solving complex challenges together, and learning from their backgrounds and perspectives.
