'it does not matter who you are or how long you have worked at sioux: your questions and ideas are taken seriously.'

Julia has been working at Sioux since 2023. After studying Industrial Engineering and Management, she joined Sioux for her graduation internship. Julia works as a Customer Service Planner within Assembly, where modules and machines are built for customers. She translates customer requirements into production needs and makes sure the right parts arrive on the production floor at the right time.

From customer request to tangible result

What Julia enjoys most about her work is seeing the result take shape. Within Assembly, everything revolves around physical products. She can see what is happening on the production floor and, ultimately, tell the customer that their product is ready for shipment.

Julia: ‘Every day, I solve a puzzle. A customer has a particular request, and together with my colleagues, we look at how we can find a suitable and creative solution.’

Having so much expertise under one roof makes a real difference. The products built within Assembly have often been developed by other Sioux colleagues. ‘If something comes up during the build, I do not first have to figure out who I need to contact. I can simply get in touch with the colleague who worked on it.’

Working together and learning from each other

Julia’s team brings together colleagues with different levels of experience. ‘I learn an incredible amount from colleagues who have more experience, but they also tell me that my fresh perspective adds something. That is what makes working together so valuable.’

‘It does not matter who you are or how long you have worked at Sioux: your questions and ideas are taken seriously. I really appreciate that.’

Julia noticed this openness from her very first introduction to Sioux. Even before her internship assignment had been finalized, colleagues came over to introduce themselves. It immediately made her feel that Sioux was a place where she would fit in. Even now, it is easy to approach someone with a question. ‘When you ask something, you genuinely get an answer. That accessibility has helped me become increasingly independent in my work.’

Growing in your own way

Since her internship, Julia has taken several steps within Sioux. She started as an Operations Support Analyst and progressed to her current role as Customer Service Planner. Along the way, she was given opportunities for both training and personal coaching.

‘I could say what I wanted to work on and what goals I had. Instead of simply having to choose a course, I received personal coaching that really matched what I needed.’

Putting people first, even when the pressure is high

‘What appeals to me is that we work in a fast-growing and innovative sector, but we do not let the pressures of the moment dictate how we work. People remain at the heart of what we do, and you can genuinely see Sioux’s core values reflected in the way we work. I really value that because, especially in a sector where the pressure can be high, it is not a given that a company will stay true to those values.’

julia's Top 3 reasons for choosing Sioux:
  • Working with approachable experts to find solutions together.

  • Plenty of opportunities to develop, from learning on the job to personal coaching that really matched what I needed.

  • Ideas that are genuinely heard.
